美國職棒大聯盟MLB季後賽分區系列賽，瀕臨淘汰的國聯西區龍頭洛杉磯道奇隊(Los Angeles Dodgers)11日在主場以6比5，力克國聯東區冠軍華盛頓國民隊，保住生機，把戰績扳成2比2，兩隊將進入第五戰決生死。

五戰三勝的分區系列，國民隊打完前三戰取得二勝領先，但道奇不放棄，連趕兩場，把戰績扳平，把賽事推向13日的第五戰，將作客華府與國民一決勝負。獲勝者將和芝加哥小熊(Chicago Cubs)或舊金山巨人(San Francisco Giants)，進入國家聯盟的冠軍系列賽(National League Championship Series)，爭取進入世界大賽(World Series)的門票。

目前小熊是以二勝一敗的戰績領先巨人。小熊已經108年未曾獲得世界大賽冠軍，創下北美運動史上最長的冠軍荒紀錄。至於巨人則是將尋求8個球季以來的第四個世界大賽冠軍頭銜。
